BABY'S BADASS BURGERS EXPANDS TO LAS VEGAS!

Baby's Badass Burgers serving beauty, badassary and bombtastic burgers made its first Las Vegas appearance last week. Characterized by the pink truck and taking a playful approach to the food truck industry, Baby's offers fresh, made-to-order burgers served in style by one of the “babes” on board. Baby's travels to festivals, corporate offices, apartment complexes, events and more. The next appearance will be at First Friday on Nov. 7 and Sunset Park on Nov. 15. Additional schedules and a precise “Badass Location of the Day” will be announced through all of Baby's social media, including Facebook and Twitter.

Baby's features creative burgers served “maneater” style on Kings Hawaiian rolls and with clever names sucha as Hot Mama, She's Smokin'!, The Other Woman, and The Good Wife. The Cover Girl is a turkey burger, the Au Naturale a veggie burger, and Pig Tails are curly fries. Owned locally, by native Las Vegans and brothers Dino and Giancarlo DeGregorio, Baby's Badass Burgers is the first Las Vegas franchise and only the fifth food truck nationwide.

THE LINQ HOTEL & CASINO IS OPEN

Caesars Entertainment executives held a ribbon cutting to officially open The Link Hotel & Casino, formerly The Quad and before that Imperial Palace. The new resort is a complete re-imagination featuring brand new rooms and suites and a renovated welcome experience built around 3535 - a destination lounge.

NOVEMBER 5 IS ‘BRITNEY DAY’ FOR SUPERSTAR SPEARS

Nov. 5 will be “Britney Day” to honor Britney Spears star of her resident show at Planet Hollywood with a ceremony at The Linq. The first 100 people with the name Britney, no matter the spelling, who check in at the High Roller at 8 a.m. will receive a pair of free tickets to Spears' show and other gifts.

SOUTH POINT OPENS $35 MILLION SOUTH POINT BOWLING PLAZA

South Point Hotel and Casino unveiled its new South Point Bowling Plaza, a $35 million state-of-the-art tournament bowling facility, built as part of a 12-year deal with the United States Bowling Congress (USBC), Las Vegas Events (LVE) and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA). Management leaders representing each entity threw the first bowling balls: Ryan Growney, South Point; Chad Murphy, USBC; Hugh Sinnock, LVCVA; and Pat Christenson, LVE.

The 90,000-square-foot facility features 60 lanes with two parallel rows of 30 lanes, a 360-seat viewing area and a 720-unit locker room. Also included is a 350-seat squad room equipped with a team photo booth area, stub lane, ball check station and bracket room.

THE ALL NET RESORT AND ARENA BROKE GROUND LAST WEEK

The $1.4 billion, privately funded All Net Resort and Arena development being built on the Strip next to SLS broke ground last week with a scheduled opening for early 2017. The venue's three main components designed by Cuningham Group Architecture, Inc. include: an approximately 860,000-square-foot, multi-purpose arena with unique retractable roof; Victory Plaza, a 300,000-square-foot pedestrian plaza; and a 44-story, boutique, five-star spa hotel with 500 specialty suites.

DENNIS BONO RADIO SHOW EXPANDS TO MORE THAN 11 MILLION HOMES

“The Dennis Bono Show” radio show that is taped before live audience every Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the showroom at South Point has signed a contract with the CRN Network, which immediately expands its potential listening audience to more than 11 million homes nationally. CRN Network based in California broadcasts to 30 plus radio stations nationally. It syndicates more than 110 shows every week, including talk shows like Dennis Miller, Michael Medved, and Thom Hartmann. Bono's show is celebrating its 15th year of broadcasting, and continues to features many entertainers.

LILI CLAIRE FOUNDATION HOSTS STAR-STUDDED BENEFIT

Film and television celebrities will come together Nov. 15 for the Live Your Passion' Celebrity Benefit and Concert at The Venetian to raise money for the Lili Claire Foundation. This fundraiser presented by Hyundai and sponsored by Warner Bros. Television will include a star-studded poker tournament, chaired by Seinfeld's Jason Alexander. A benefit concert, hosted by comedians Caroline Rhea and Aisha Tyler, will follow, featuring performances by R&B superstars All-4-One and Oscar-nominated musician Stephen Bishop, and a performance by Grammy nominated comedian Bob Saget. ‘FANTASY’ WILL REVEAL 2015 CALENDAR TUESDAY, NOV. 11

The gorgeous ladies of the sexy revue “FANTASY” at the Luxor will debut the 2015 “Fulfilling Fantasies for 15 Years” calendar to celebrate the milestone anniversary of the show Tuesday, Nov. 11. The calendar featuring the sultriest photos from the past 15 years will be available for $20 at various retail locations throughout the Luxor and the Fantasy ladies will host a series of calendar signings leading up to the holiday season. With the calendar release falling on Veterans Day, a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Douglas J. Green Memorial Foundation.

SIN CITY BREWING CO. GIVES DISCOUNTS FOR ‘STACHES THIS MONTH

Sin City Brewing Company at all three Sin City locations is offering specially priced craft beer for patrons rocking a lip toupee aka mustache during November for a fundraiser dubbed “MovemBEER.” In support of the popular men's health awareness month, Sin City Brewing Co. is saluting lip sweaters by discounting guests' first pint of beer from 10 to 50 percent off in accordance with one of five styles represented on a poster. For the ladies, they can tweet a photo with their best “finger ‘stache” tagging @SinCityBeer and #MovemBEER to receive the HOPprentice discount upon showing their tweet to the bartender.

ROCK IN RIO USA WILL PRESENT ROCK STREET

Next May's music festival “Rock in Rio” has announced that Rock Street's magical setting will have three thematic streets featured inside the City of Rock in Las Vegas capturing the culture and sounds of Brazil, the UK and USA. Rock in Rio also announced the addition of Bruno Mars and Ed Sheeran who will play on the Main Stage and Joss Stone will perform on the Sunset Stage. Other headliners include: No Doubt; Metallica; Linkin Park; Taylor Swift; Deftones; and John Legend.

The City of Rock will be a permanent open-air concert venue built over 37 acres on The Strip near the corner of Sahara Avenue with the capacity to handle 85,000 people per day. The venue will have six stages including the three themed Rock Streets that will handle more than 100 acts and a zip line stretching 64 feet high and 600 feet long.

Rock in Rio will be celebrating its 30th anniversary and first U.S. festival.

THE TOY BOX EXPANDS TO U.S. BY OPENING IN DOWNTOWN SUMMERLIN

The Toy Box, an unordinary 2,717-square-foot retail store featuring an eclectic array of toys, board games, action figures, pop culture collectibles and more, has opened at Downtown Summerlin. The business was established in 1994 by entrepreneur Justin Archbold and it is expanding from Edmonton, Canada.

BRET MICHAELS BRINGS LIFE ROCKS TOUR TO DOWNTOWN LAS VEGAS

The Downtown Las Vegas Events Center will host Bret Michaels' Life Rocks Tour with a 7 p.m. concert for a cause under the stars on Friday, Nov. 7. Five dollars from every ticket will go directly to Bret Michaels' own Life Rocks Foundation that benefits a myriad of charity organizations. General admission tickets are $20 and VIP $100. Gates open at 6 p.m. and the concert will begin at 7 p.m.

The reality television superstar won NBC's “Celebrity Apprentice 3” and recently released his solo album “Jammin' with Friends,” featuring collaborations with Jimmy Buffett, Miley Cyrus and Loretta Lynn along with other musical stars.

KISS PERFORMS AT HARD ROCK AND HAS NELLIS ‘ROADIES FOR A WEEK’

Rock ‘n’ roll legends KISS will perform at The Joint inside Hard Rock on selected Nov. 5-23 dates. Three selected enlisted Nellis Air Force Base military members will serve as “Roadies for a Week” during the legendary band's visit marking the third time the group enlisted the help of America's heroes. Each military person will work closely with the KISS crew and the band's VIP program for a total of three shows during their designated week. Each roadie will create his or her own video and photo diary to keep as a memento, assist with the show, and stay at the hotel during their volunteer week. Show tickets start at $49.50.

SOUTHERN NEVADA MUSEUM OF FINE ART HOSTS ANNE FRANK EXHIBIT

The Southern Nevada Museum of Fine Art (SNMFA) opens its Fall 2014 season with “Anne Frank, An Historical Remembrance” featuring the work of well-known artist and lithographer Michael Knigin (1942-2011). The exhibit is paired with “Chai Lights,” a collection of 100 works of art by 31 Las Vegas artists, focused on Jewish themes. Both exhibits will be open to the public Wednesday through Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. until Nov. 26. General admission is $5.

THE MOB MUSEUM LAUNCHES MOBCAST

The Mob Museum downtown is introducing Mobcast, which highlights informative museum content that includes original videos hosted online featuring historians, authors, veterans of law enforcement agencies and others. The objective of Mobcast is to illuminate a different facet of the ongoing battle between the Mob and law enforcement and delve into aspects of Las Vegas history.

The first 16-minute Mobcast found on YouTube was produced in commemoration of Nevada's Sesquicentennial and features former Las Vegas Mayor Oscar B. Goodman and famous defense attorney for several high-profile organized crime figures; Dr. Michael Green, Las Vegas expert and history professor at the University of Nevada Las Vegas; and Geoff Schumacher, noted author on Las Vegas history and director of content development for The Mob Museum.

Mobcast is posted on the Museum's Facebook and Twitter pages. The museum aims to produce two Mobcast programs per month with some being available to the public and others being exclusive to museum's members.

NEW BORDER GRILL LOCATION OPENS INSIDE FORUM SHOPS AT CAESARS

Chef/Owners Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feniger of Bravo's “Top Chef Masters” and Food Network's “Too Hot Tamales” have opened a second Border Grill location in Las Vegas offering lunch and dinner daily. The modern design restaurant is on the first floor adjacent to the distinctive spiraling escalator. It encompasses an open floor plan with an indoor patio that flows into the cantina lounge, a dynamic ceviche bar, demonstration kitchen, private dining room and bar.

The vibrant inviting atmosphere is peppered with woodcarvings and colorful murals. The ornate décor includes the rusted steel patina, orange and red tiles, purple lighting fixtures and graphic light boxes.

MONTE CARLO HOSTS ‘YUSHO AFTER DARK’ DUO CHEF EVENT

Chefs from two of Las Vegas' most celebrated Japanese-inspired restaurants will come together Tuesday, Nov. 4 for Yusho After Dark, a culinary event to be held at Monte Carlo's Yusho Japanese Grill & Noodle House from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. The event will showcase Yusho's Executive Chef Brian Lhee and SUSHISAMBA's Chef Bobby Silva. Tickets are $25 at the restaurant and one of Yusho's signature draught cocktails is included. Entertainment will include the live development of an original painting by renowned local artist Tommy Vinci and the musical stylings of DJ Matt.

ARTS COMMISSION DEDICATES FOUR NEW ART PROJECTS DOWNTOWN

The public is invited to join Ward 3 Councilman Bob Coffin and the Las Vegas Arts Commission for a free celebration to dedicate the first four public art projects on the “First Street Art Trail” Thursday, Nov. 6, 4-6 p.m. The celebration begins in Boulder Plaza, located between Main and First streets at Boulder Avenue, a block north of Charleston Boulevard in the Arts District.

The initial four projects include: “Cycled Musings” text art by artist Mary Hill on bike racks; “Vegas Jackpot Art Cache” by Las Vegas team of artists; “Snowball in Vegas” nine-foot sculpture of a cat; and “Strata” in the “Windows on First” by UNLV art students Audrey Barcio and Rebecca Pugh.

Sammy's Woodfired Pizza & Grill and Sammy's Restaurant & Bar locations across the Las Vegas Valley will honor Veterans Day, Tuesday, Nov. 11 by offering all veterans and active military personnel with a valid ID one free tapa during lunch or dinner hours with an equal or greater purchase.

As part of Mercadito Hospitality's national Tacos for Strength campaign, this November, Mercadito at Red Rock Resort is featuring a Mediterranean-inspired taco by “Top Chef: Season 7”-winning Chef Keven Sbraga of Sbraga in Philadelphia. Tacos for Strength are available for dinner (four per order) for $16.50 or for lunch (three per order) for $12.50. Five percent of all proceeds directly benefit Share Our Strength.

La Cave Wine & Food Hideaway at Wynn will celebrate Thanksgiving with a bountiful four-course $65 feast prepared by Executive Chef Billy DeMarco on Thursday, Nov. 27. An optional wine pairing is an additional $35.

MARIO BATALI FOUNDATION-BOOKS FOR KIDS OPEN NEW LIBRARY

The Mario Batali Foundation will open its first Books for Kids library outside New York serving 82 children year-round at the Acelero Learning Reach Out Center on Friday, Nov. 7 at 11 a.m. This is the ninth Books for Kids library that the Mario Batali Foundation has funded, and their first in the state of Nevada. The mission of Books for Kids is to promote literacy among all children with a special emphasis on low-income and at-risk preschool-aged children.

FIRST FRIDAY NOVEMBER THEME IS ‘ENLIGHTEN’

The theme for First Friday on Nov. 7 will be “EnLIGHTen,” representing both light as energy and a state of enlightenment from 5-11 p.m. There will be several yoga studios holding free classes, Las Vegas PhotoCollective providing a mainstream showcase, the West Flamingo Senior Pathway to Poetry Group “word bombing,” and the popular Shuffle Zone becoming the Dance DepARTment. Star Nursery will bring “EnLIGHTen” to KidZone this month, with a forest of seven Christmas trees for decoration and display at one of the seven Valley locations. They will also conduct classes on how to reuse PVC pipe to make candle ornaments and provide families discounts on trees for the holiday season.

The Marie and Rich Little Foundation will hold its annual benefit show on Sunday, Nov. 9 at 5 p.m. in the Golden Nugget Showroom to support two organizations - The Salvation Army Southern Nevada and Heaven Can Wait Animal Shelter. The show will star Rich Little, Frankie Scinta, Gordie Brown, Lance Burton and Bernadottae Larson as Whoopi Goldberg. The Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation (NCCF) (www.nvccf.org) will present its 21st Annual Profiles of Courage Dinner Gala and auction honoring the children they serve and supporters of the foundation. The new, two-story, 171,000-square-foot Life Time Athletic Green Valley destination, located at 121 Carnegie Drive in Henderson, will be an exclusive lifestyle, sports, professional fitness, family recreation and spa resort designed to meet the health and fitness needs of the entire family.

Indie pop group Fitz and The Tantrums unveiled their first-ever memorabilia case at Hard Rock Hotel last month with band members Michael Fitzpatrick, Noelle Scaggs, James King, Joseph Karnes, Jeremy Ruzumna and John Wicks on site. Some display items include Fitzpatrick's and Scaggs' leather jackets, Yamaha bass guitar, Panther keyboard, DW kick drum, percussion instruments, assorted t-shirts and posters, etc.

This event got missed but it's worth noting for next year. Caesars Entertainment hosted its fifth annual “Battle of the Bras” fashion show to support American Cancer Society and showcased one-of-a-kind designed brassieres by employees, entertainers and local media to raise funds.

The Queen of Burning Angel, Joanna Angel will visit Larry Flynt's Hustler Club and dance with other starlets Teagan Presley and Jesse Jane on Nov. 4 and 5. Angel will perform at 11:30 p.m. both nights.

VETERAN'S DAY SPECIAL MILITARY OFFERS
