Janet Jackson will bring her world tour to The AXIS at Planet Hollywood, Friday and Saturday, Oct 9 and 10. The “Unbreakable World Tour” is in support of her upcoming album due out this fall on Rhythm Nation Records/BMG. Ticket sale will begin June 22.

HARD ROCK HOTEL CLOSES CENTER BAR WITH FINAL PROMOTIONS

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino will hold the final toast and bid farewell to its original Center Bar. The bar with a panoramic view of casino floor was a trailblazer for center bars around Las Vegas when it opened in 1995, which is why they are offering 1995-themed “Last Call” drink specials.

Now through Sunday, June 28 the “Last Call” promotion features five of the bar's most popular shots from 1995 including: Surfer on Acid; Red Headed Slut; Purple Hooter; Scooby Snack; and Cosmopolitan Shot. The select shots are $5 and come with a limited-edition Center Bar shot glass while supplies last.

Center Bar will host a “Final Toast” party on Sunday, June 28 from 7 to 10 p.m. The gathering will feature top 1995 music hits while attendees will be encouraged to sign their name on the original Center Bar before it closes. The globe hanging above the hotspot will be turned off when Robin Leach gives the final toast. An after party at The Ainsworth, the upscale sports lounge, with DJ Dash will conclude the evening's festivities before construction begins the next day.

‘X COMEDY UNCENSORED FUN’ WILL PREMIERE AT FLAMINGO

“X Burlesque” and “X Rocks” producers, Matt and Angela Stabile, have announced the expansion of their risqué “X” brand into comedy with the premiere of “X COMEDY Uncensored Fun” on Thursday, June 25 at in Bugsy's Showroom at the Flamingo at 8 p.m. The show will run Thursday through Sunday with tickets ranging from $49.95 to $69.95

The new show will be hosted by comedy veterans Nancy Ryan and John Bizarre, and will feature a lineup of comedians including PIFF the Magic Dragon and his sidekick Mr. Piffles, the “TV Guy” Joe Trammel, Dennis Blair and more.

PIFF the Magic Dragon recently opened for Grammy Award-winning musicians Mumford & Sons on their 17-date UK tour. Trammel aka “The Man of 1,000 Faces” is known for his visual comedy. Blair toured with George Carlin for more than 18 years.

SIEGEL'S 1941 RESTAURANT OPENS AT EL CORTEZ

The El Cortez downtown has opened a new dining concept, Siegel's 1941, paying homage to Bugsy Siegel and his circle of mobsters. The 24-hour restaurant has new floor-to-ceiling windows and a tiled ceiling with vintage-style lighting. Seating 150 guests, the dining room is filled with wooden tabletops, dramatic red leather booths, and a separate bar. An impressive display of archival artworks completes the look with a glimpse of the city's past. Siegel's 1941 took over the space formerly occupied by The Flame.

SILVERTON CASINO WILL OPEN NEW DINING EXPERIENCE WUHU NOODLE

The Silverton will celebrate the grand opening of its WuHu Noodle's with an interactive parade through the casino consisting of dancers performing a traditional lion dance, Buddhas, drummers, cymbalists and a gong player at 5 p.m. with a blessing following on Friday, July 3. WuHu Noodle will seat 44 guests and offer authentic Asian fare including Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese and Thai.

The restaurant will feature a modern take on traditional Asian décor and customers will be able to watch top chefs prepare and create dishes through an interactive kitchen viewing area. WuHu Noodle will be open daily at 11 a.m. serving lunch, dinner and expedited service for diners on the go.

Dim Sum master Chef Chung Ping Yu se is WuHu's Executive Room Chef. He began his culinary career in Hong Kong when he was 18 years old and has spent more than 20 years in Las Vegas at various hotels.

RISE LANTERN FESTIVAL WILL RETURN TO NEVADA A SECOND TIME

RiSE - the lantern festival that was here last year will return for a second year to the Las Vegas-area at a new location on Saturday, Oct. 10. The gathering will feature the simultaneous release of thousands of flame-lit paper lanterns with each carrying an individual meaning. The event celebrates the collective elevation of peoples' hopes, dreams, resolutions, goals and desires.

Expecting 10,000 attendees, the new location will be on the Moapa River Reservation located about 35 miles northeast of Las Vegas and adjacent to Valley of Fire State Park. Last year more than 20,000 lanterns were release on the Jean Dry Lakebed; however, many people were stranded afterwards for hours. This year, organizers have reimagined the event layout and logistics with convenient parking and a more streamlined lantern release plan.

Additionally festival organizers continue their commitment to environmental sustainability by launching specially designed fire-safe and biodegradable lanterns that are cleaned up within 48 hours afterwards.

There is a two-week pre-sale that began June 18 with $59 tickets for adults and $39 for kids 3-10 at risefestival.com. After pre-sale, tickets will range from $80-$100.

Attendees can visit the event site starting late afternoon, where there will be live music, food and activities such as lantern decorating. Parking will be available on-site for $20 per vehicle and shuttles for $34 from the Las Vegas Strip will be an option.

Lantern releases will happen in waves starting just after sunset, and attendees will be able to leave freely after the ceremony's completion.

DINOSAURS INVADE LAS VEGAS THIS SUMMER

There are three opportunities this summer to enjoy a dinosaur experience in Las Vegas through mid-September. There is a Dinosaurs Roam Vegas 20 percent offer for up to four adult admissions by mentioning this promotion. Some restrictions apply. Check promotion rules at each location.

At the Springs Preserve, it will be Dino Summer from June 21-Sept. 20 inside the Origen Museum. Dino Summer is a collaboration of exhibits from Eureka Exhibits - Be the Dinosaur and Kokoro Exhibits - Dinosaur Discovery. Visitors will see an animatronic Tyrannosaurus rex and Triceratops, interact with state-of-the-art video game technology, take a journey in a Safari Jeep - a Jurassic Park-style narrated tour through a virtual dinosaur world, and dig up life-sized dinosaur bones.

At the Las Vegas Natural History Museum it is Dinosaur Revolution. This is a 2015 traveling exhibit where visitors can act as junior paleontologists. This experience uncovers facts, fiction and fossil, and lets people mimic dinosaur behavior and runs through Sept. 15.

The traveling exhibit Dinosaurs: Land of Fire and Ice™ runs through Sept.13 at Discovery Children's Museum. As visitors move through the exhibit, they encounter unfamiliar landscapes and touchable dinosaurs of all shapes and sizes including a Tyrannosaurus rex and Triceratops. This exhibit builds on the popular fascination with dinosaurs and includes science activities to challenge all ages and opportunities to investigate clues about what dinosaurs left behind.

MADAME TUSSAUDS, BLUE MAN GROUP START NEW TICKET PACKAGE

Madame Tussauds at The Venetian and Blue Man Group at Monte Carlo are offering a new combo ticket package. For $79, it includes general admission to the wax attraction and one Category C ticket for the men in blue, resulting in a $50 savings.

The all-in ticket is available at both locations and Blue Man Group tickets are valid for seven days from the purchase date. Madame Tussauds in Las Vegas has been the home of the three bald and blue figures since 2006. Guests can pose for pictures alongside the trio of Blue Men while visiting the world-famous interactive wax attraction.

THERAPY LAS VEGAS OPENS DOWNTOWN

Therapy Las Vegas at 518 E. Fremont Street is opening June 22 in the Fremont East Entertainment District downtown. Therapy will be offering a dining and drinking destination complete with an American gastro-style menu by Executive Chef Daniel Ontiveros and a full bar program with more than 40 craft beers and signature drinks.

Therapy's hours will be 11 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 3 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

HAKKASAN CELEBRATES LAUNCH OF LING LING IN MYKONOS

Starting July 1, Hakkasan restaurants globally including the Las Vegas location at MGM Grand will celebrate the launch of Ling Ling in Mykonos, Greece, by featuring a taste of its cuisine with a limited edition menu and signature cocktail.

Hakkasan Las Vegas will feature two limited edition menus: Fish and Seafood or Meat and Seafood. In addition, guests will be able to sample the Ling Ling Collins, a new signature cocktail that will be served the restaurant bar. The $45 special menu will be available nightly from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the bar until Aug. 31.

ZAK OSTROWSKI DEBUTS DESERT-INSPIRED INSTALLATION AT DELANO

Las Vegas landscape-influenced art exhibit “Gravitation” is a new installation by Las Vegas artist Zak Ostrowski on display at Delano through July 6. Each exhibit piece such as Ostrowski's sculptural bench was deliberately selected to parallel the resort's Mojave-inspired design concept. Made of concrete, the sculpture combines art, design and nature while incorporating representations of desert sandstone into the finished piece.

Visitors can witness Ostrowski's collection of paintings, sculptures and furniture on display throughout the hotel's lobby. Processes like wood-burning, laser-cutting and automotive paint have transformed ordinary and organic objects into distinct and unexpected works of art.

WORLD SERIES OF POKER IS ON RECORD PACE AT RIO

The 2015 World Series of Poker is ongoing through July 14 at the Rio with the Main Event scheduled to start July 5. This year is out pacing a record-breaking year in 2014 with entries up 48 percent after 34 of 68 events were completed. Players at the halfway point represented 98 countries, which is well on pace to top last year's 110 country mark. This event is in its 46th year and keeps growing.

CRAZY PITA HOLDS PAINT-DRINK-DINE EVENTS THIS SUMMER

Crazy Pita Rotisserie & Grill at Town Square will partner with Paint and Party Las Vegas throughout the summer to offer Paint-Drink-Dine events. Guests will paint along with local artists to create artwork to take home and keep. The cost is $30 and $20 for children 16 and under. That price includes painting materials and supplies along with one appetizer per table. Happy Hour prices will be offered to Paint Party guests - 50 percent off beer and wine. The first event will be Tuesday, June 30 from 6 to 8 p.m. Crazy Pita will host more paint and party events twice a month on Tuesdays.

TIVOLI VILLAGE HAS SEVERAL NEW TENANTS

Tivoli Village has added several new and noteworthy tenants including: Tapas by celebrity chef Alex Stratta; family fashion retailer Gypsy05, Mint Locker cleaning service; and California's leading cold-pressed juice company, Pressed Juicery.

For Gypsy05, a company started in 2005 by a brother and sister partnership, this is their first location outside of Southern California. The retailer holds environmental awareness as a core philosophy. They incorporate organic fabrics, soy softeners, low impact dyes and seaweed extract printing into the collection and their headquarters is the first completely solar-powered dyeing, printing and manufacturing facility in Los Angeles, Calif.

Mint Locker is about delivering convenience. Open 24 hours daily, people can register online and then leave their clothes in a safe and secure locker available in two locations inside Tivoli Village. Laundry or dry cleaning will be ready in one to two days. Phone is 702-778-7890.

STERLING BUCKLEY IS NEW EXECUTIVE CHEF AT LA CAVE AT WYNN

Sterling Buckley is the new executive chef of La Cave Wine & Food Hideaway inside Wynn. Buckley, who previously served as the restaurant's chef de cuisine, will work with Morton Group Corporate Executive Chef Billy DeMarco to oversee all operations for the restaurant.

Buckley, who joined La Cave in 2010 as a line cook, is recognizable for his signature mohawk and out-of-the-box thinking. Buckley received his degree from Le Cordon Bleu in Las Vegas in 2006.

ALIANTE INTRODUCES NEW MOBILE SPORTS BETTING APP

Aliante has partnered with Miomni Gaming to provide a cutting-edge sports betting app that is available now through most smartphones and mobile devices. The new app allows players to experience the amenities of the Aliante Race & Sports Book, independently owned since 2012, in the palm of their hand. Players have the ability to directly place bets, check account balances and more through the app with a few simple steps.

All users age 21 and older must register in-person at Aliante before downloading the app, which is available for mobile download on iOS available in the iTunes store and on Android devices.

FAST TRACK NEWS

Bob Anderson starring in the show “Frank The Man. The Music.” with his amazing reenactment performance at The Palazzo Theatre has been extended through the end of December.

After a 10-month hiatus, lounge legend Cook E. Jarr is back on stage at Napoleon's Lounge at Paris from 6-8 p.m.

Veteran stand-up comedian and actor Jay Mohr will appear at the South Point Showroom June 26 and 27 at 7:30 p.m. Mohr has a career spanning more than three decades. Tickets start at $25.

The Improv at Harrah's lineup for June 23-28 is Rocky LaPorte, Ron Morey and Jak Knight. LaPorte was featured on his own “Comedy Central Presents” special that runs on Comedy Central.

The 8th annual Women's Leadership Conference will be held July 13 and 14 at the MGM Grand. The purpose of the conference is to inspire women to seek their highest level of personal and professional growth. Cost is $375.

This month, Chef Rick Moonen, an advocate for sustainable fishing and seafood, was invited as a guest chef to the esteemed USA Pavilion at Expo Milano 2015, the first time that the world's fair has been food-themed, taking place in Milan now through October. Moonen was one of 50 guest chefs selected by the James Beard Foundation to represent the USA's “Culinary Dream Team.”

Farmers Market takes place every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. under the Pavilion at Downtown Summerlin and will also operate normal hours on Saturday, July 4.

The U.S. Tennis Association provides free tennis clinics for kids every Saturday in the Macy's Court at Downtown Summerlin. Lessons are for children ages 3 to 10 and take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is free and open to the public; however, it will not run on July 4.

DINING HIGHLIGHTS

South Point is offering an exclusive “Summer Meal Deals” promotion featuring pre fixe multi-course menus at Don Vito's ($19) and Silverado Steakhouse ($29) Monday, June 29 through Thursday, Aug. 27 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and 9 to 10 p.m. In addition diners may complete the meal with the restaurant's “Wine of the Month” for $20 per bottle.

HEXX kitchen | bar | chocolate at Paris has introduced a brand new brunch menu with an array of new selections available from 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday.

House of Blues will partner with local brewery CraftHaus Brewery on Tuesday, June 23 and host a three-course beer dinner in Crossroads. The dinner from 6:30 to 9 p.m. costs $65 call 702-632-7607.

Chef-Owner Daniel Boulud of db Brasserie at The Venetian is extending a 30 percent discount to Nevada residents through Sept. 7.

CITY OF HENDERSON AGAIN NAMED A PLAYFUL CITY USA COMMUNITY

The City of Henderson has been named a Playful City USA community for the eighth consecutive year and it is the only community in Nevada to receive this recognition. The national program honors cities and towns championing efforts to make play a priority for children. The program is administered by KaBoom!, a national nonprofit dedicated to saving children's play, and the Humana Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Humana Inc., a national health care company.

FERRARO'S OFFERS NEW $35 PRIX-FIXE FAMILY-STYLE SUMMER DISHES

For the summer, Ferraro's is offering a prix-fixe dinner option. For $35 per person, guests may have Ferraro's new Family Style Menu during dinner hours 4 to 11 p.m. featuring three courses, plus a side dish. Everyone at the table must order off this special menu if it is selected. Guests may choose two appetizers, two entrees, and one side dish. The meal concludes with Ferraro's homemade dessert sampler.
