MADAME TUSSAUDS UNVEILED MILEY CYRUS ATOP A WRECKING BALL!
Madame Tussauds Las Vegas premiered wax figure Miley Cyrus on a wrecking ball suspended from a 130-foot-high, 90-ton crane in front of The Venetian®. Together, the figure and ball weigh more than 200 pounds and stand at more than 10 feet. This six-month creation will be permanently installed in the attraction's Music Room.
THE ANIMAL FOUNDATION'S ‘BEST IN SHOW’ SET FOR APRIL 26
The Animal Foundation's 12th Annual “Best In Show” will return to the Orleans Arena Sunday, April 26. This family-friendly feel good fundraiser will feature shelter dogs competing in several categories (small, medium, large, variety pack, puppy parade and special needs) as they strut their stuff and vie for the audience's hearts and homes. Show proceeds directly benefit the more than 35,000 lost, unwanted and abandoned animals that pass through The Animal Foundation's doors each year. “Best In Show” will commence with a pre-event VIP Sponsorship Brunch and silent auction at 11 a.m. At noon, doors will open for the vendor fair, entertainment and general admission seating. The show will begin at 1 p.m.

‘MJ LIVE’ WILL MOVE TO THE STRATOSPHERE AND OPEN MARCH 30
“MJ LIVE,” the Michael Jackson tribute show, will open at its new home in the Stratosphere Theater on Monday, March 30 after a nearly three-year run at the Rio. “MJ LIVE” is the No. 1 Michael Jackson tribute show in the world showcasing the legendary superstar and his music with impersonations performed by rotating impersonators: Justin Dean; Jalles Franca; and Tony Kouns. Tickets range from $49.95 to $79.95.
MODEL TYSON BECKFORD GUEST HOSTS CHIPPENDALES SHOW AT RIO
International super model, film star, and fashion icon, Tyson Beckford, will join the Chippendales as a special guest host for a limited engagement April 30 through May 24 at the Rio. The all-new production was revamped earlier this year featuring some of the latest music hits and cutting edge dance, lighting and musical staging.
Tyson's modeling career was ignited in the Fall 1994 Polo Sport campaign shot by Bruce Weber. Next, he landed an exclusive contract with Ralph Lauren apparel for five years followed by three years as spokes model for Polo Sport Fragrances.
Tyson has been in countless magazine editorials, had recognition such as “People Magazine” naming him one of the “50 Most Beautiful People,” and starred in a number of music stars' videos. Tyson's film credits include “Into the Blue,” “Zoolander,” “Biker Boyz” and “Kings of the Evening.” In 2008, he was featured in and produced the movie “Hotel California” directed by Geo Santini and he recently co-starred in “Addicted.”

WESTGATE INTRODUCES NEW SILK ROAD NOODLE BAR
Westgate has debuted the Silk Road Noodle Bar, a new Asian-food concept inspired by the world-famous Silk Road Trade Route. The casual 156-seat eatery with a private dining area for up to 38 guests overlooks the gardens in Westgate's Benihana Village.
For those looking for vegetable-only options, Silk Road Noodle Bar offers several dishes including the Vegetable Delight and Vegetable Earth Pot. Hours are nightly 5:30–10:30 p.m.
JAYDE FUZION TRANSFORMS INTO ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT SUSHI DINING
Jayde Fuzion's all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant at M Resort will transform its current space into an all-new, all-you-can-eat sushi experience with a selection of Asian fusion dishes served tableside or at the sushi bar beginning March 18. Three distinct all-you-can-eat menus will also be available with each including miso soup, edamame, pickled Asian cucumber salad and a carafe of sake. Jayde Fuzion seats up to 80 guests and has a private dining room for up to 20 guests. New hours of operation will be Wednesday through Sunday from 5 to 10 p.m.
RED ROCK'S MERCADITO STARTS TEQUILA DINNERS AND COOKING DEMOS
Last week, Mercadito at Red Rock Resort started weekly Wednesday four-course Tequila Dinners with Executive Chef Juan Puentes cooking new, tequila-based dishes.
There are four menus rotating weekly over three months with tequila tastings between courses. Cost is $36.
Mercadito is also adding monthly Cooking Demo Mondays at 6 p.m. with Chef/Partner of Mercadito Hospitality Patricio Sandoval and Chef Puentes demonstrating. Participation is $45, which includes a five-course meal, accompanying cocktails, demonstration, question and answer session with the chef, and recipes. Upcoming dates are: April 13; May 4; June 22; July 13; Aug. 10; and Sept. 28. Space is limited to 30-40 people, call 702-979-3609.
DOWNTOWN SUMMERLIN FARMER'S MARKET STARTS UP
Downtown Summerlin has started its weekly Saturday farmer's market from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Pavilion with 90 percent of its produce organic and free of pesticides and curated by Kerry Clasby, also known as The Intuitive Forager. For more than a decade, Clasby has been an organic grower, distributor and professional forager for celebrity chefs with world-renowned restaurants. Throughout the season, the market will host cooking demonstrations, live music, classes dedicated to ecological stewardship and tasting events.
SHAQ'S ALL-STAR COMEDY JAM WILL BRING LAUGHS TO ALIANTE
Shaquille O'Neal's Next All-Star Comedy Jam tour will stop at Access Showroom inside Aliante for two shows at 8 and 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 28. The stand-up shows will be hosted by Faizon Love and feature comedians Aida Rodriguez, Billy Sorrells and Kelly “K-Dub” Walker. Tickets start at $17.50.
Love has appeared on TV and the big screen and previously hosted the All-Star Comedy Jam in 2013, which aired on Showtime and was released on DVD.
Rodriguez was most recently a competitor on the eighth season of NBC's hit show, “Last Comic Standing.” Sorrells found his fame on YouTube appearing as “Peaches” in the popular videos, “Sh-t Black Girls Say,” that has amassed more than 15 million views. “K. Dubb,” a comedic writer and actor, has performed on numerous televised stand-up shows. Also performing will be this year's winner of Shaq's All-Star Comedy Jam, which will be announced in the coming weeks.

With its doors closing Monday, May 4, the Riviera is counting down the final eight weeks with a look back at some highlights, fun facts, and rarely-seen photos. Week two of #RivFacts celebrates the “King of Pop,” who in 1984 cast and signed his handprints in cement for a Las Vegas “Walk of Fame” project in front of the property. The “Walk of Fame” existed for many years and featured handprints from such celebrities as Dolly Parton, Smothers Brothers, Robert Goulet, Sugar Ray Leonard and Don King, among others.
RJ MITTE HOSTS OFFICIAL WIZARD WORLD COMIC CON PARTY
RJ Mitte, star of AMC's “Breaking Bad,” will host Comic Con's post-convention bash at Chateau Nightclub & Rooftop at Paris with a DJ performance on the club's rooftop on Saturday, April 25. The Wizard World Comic Con convention being held at the Las Vegas Convention Center will bring science fiction and pop culture characters together in one large festival.
MEET ARTIST LUBA STOLPER AT ART ENCOUNTER
Ukrainian born painter Luba Stolper will debut her private collection of classic Russian School still life paintings at a public reception from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 26 at the Art encounter gallery in its new location 5720 S. Arville Street, Suite 117.
At age 19 Stolper was accepted to art school in Russia and later escaped to Israel. In 1993, at age 34, she moved to San Francisco, studied at Berkley's School of Professional Fabric Design, and worked as a fabric designer. In 1998, she settled in Santa Rosa, Calif., and studied under world-renowned artist Charles Becker, who called her one of the best students he ever had.

ALICE IN CHAINS MAKES SUMMER TOUR STOP AT PALMS
Multi-platinum rock band Alice In Chains will embark on a headlining U.S. summer tour and make their second location a visit to The Pearl inside Palms on Saturday, July 18 at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $53.
This tour follows the band's recent halftime performance at the NFC Championship game and will be the first tour since the group's 2013-2014 worldwide run in support of their Grammy-nominated album “The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here” with the first two singles “Stone” and “Hollow” hitting No. 1 on the rock charts.
In other news, the band's Alice In Chains & Friends Fantasy Football League recently launched its 4th annual charity auction, partnering with Music For Relief and MusiCares. Proceeds help provide protective gear and training for health workers dealing with the Ebola epidemic.

J. Cole, the Grammy-nominated and platinum-selling rapper, will bring his 2014 Forest Hills Drive Tour to The AXIS at Planet Hollywood Saturday, July 18 at 8 p.m. Cole will be joined by special guests YG and Jeremih as well as Dreamville artists Bas, Cozz and Omen. PDQ OPENS FIRST RESTAURANT WEST OF TEXAS IN NORTH LAS VEGAS
PDQ, a rapidly growing restaurant chain known for its fresh but affordable chicken tenders, salads and sandwiches, will make its first foray into Nevada when it opens its 39th nationwide restaurant at 3737 W. Craig Road on Sunday, March 15. A second location is slated to open this summer on West Sahara Avenue, just west of Interstate 15. PDQ stands for People Dedicated to Quality and the food is made to order from ingredients so fresh that the restaurant has no need for freezers or microwave ovens.
PDQ co-founders include Bob Basham, a principal owner who was also a co-founder of Outback Steakhouse, and Nick Reader, a former CFO of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. PDQ has locations in seven states.
WET‘N’WILD HOLDS FREE PRE-SEASON OPENING EVENT
Wet'n'Wild's first ‘Game On!’ event will introduce the nation's first Slideboarding game waterslide attraction and offer free Season Passes and other gift giveaways. The event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 31 will kick off the 2015 season and be held one week before Wet'n'Wild opens to the public for Spring Break. The free event will include comic book displays, game trucks, a popular food truck, a costume contest with prizes, and other ‘spin the wheel' gift giveaways. JOËL ROBUCHON AT MGM REVEALS NEW 18-COURSE TASTING MENU
Joël Robuchon Restaurant at MGM Grand has introduced a groundbreaking new menu that combines both modernism and tradition within luxury dining. First presented at Robuchon's restaurant in Bordeaux, France, the 18-course menu is now available in Las Vegas, offering an opportunity to indulge in the Chef of the Century's exquisite cuisine. Executive Chef Claude Le-Tohic and Executive Pastry Chef Salvatore Martone work together to ensure there is a flawless delivery. Cost is $445. The restaurant recently earned its sixth consecutive Forbes Five-Star Award.

Brooklyn Bowl to celebrate its one-year anniversary in Las Vegas at The LINQ has debuted the Fried Chicken Martini for a limited time. The unusual cocktail is a nod to the venue's famous fried chicken. Tito's Handmade Vodka is infused with a batch of fried chicken for two weeks. Then the honeyed rim drink is dipped in the restaurant's signature fried chicken seasoning and garnished with a boneless piece of fried chicken skewered with a sprig of rosemary.
Strip-side bar RHUMBAR at The Mirage is offering spring break specials and Caribbean-themed parties with music by the resident DJ through Friday, April 10. ‘FINE FOOD & DRINK’ EXHIBIT OPENS AT BAUMAN RARE BOOKS
Bauman Rare Books has a new free public exhibit running through April 12 featuring Fine Food & Drink, a collection of rare and unusual cookbooks, wine and cocktail first editions and bartender guides. The display highlights such original items as the first Jewish cookbook published in America, Prohibition-era bartender guides and works on wine appreciation and grape cultivation. Comedy magician Mac King has had his show at Harrah's extended until 2019, which will make a record-breaking 19 years for a solo performer at the same property.

Eccoci Boca Park will put on a public art and fashion event on Saturday, March 21 from 1 to 5 p.m. with a fashion show at 2 p.m. Artists/authors Beti Kristoff-Mohn and Janice Marie Wilson will present the illustrated story and artwork of “Persephone and Polka Dot Shoes.” The story is about the Persephone the Goddess of Spring Time. The Pinoy Pride Festival, a Filipino cultural event showcasing the rich history and culture of the Philippines, will take over the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center April 3–5.
