LAS VEGAS HOSPITALITY ASSOCIATION WAS GIADA'S FIRST GROUP

Las Vegas Hospitality Association (LVHA), a leading local 523-member nonprofit tourism organization, was the first group to experience Emmy Award-winning celebrity Chef Giada De Laurentiis' first-ever restaurant GIADA (pronounced Ja-da) at The Cromwell at a private luncheon event before it opened to the public later in the day. The globally renowned Chef De Laurentiis gave a personal demonstration and told of subtle details such as handles on the back of the chairs and hanging ceiling light fixtures that are inscribed with her motto “eat a little bit of everything and not a lot of anything.” That's how she remains a size two.

“When guests come to GIADA, I want them to feel like they are coming to my house for dinner,” said De Laurentiis. “All the details of the restaurant are near and dear to my heart. My family was a big inspiration and you can see their influence in the art, décor and dishes.” Other touches include a fancy photo booth hidden to the left of the reception desk, an eye-catching antipasti bar, a first for Italian eateries in Las Vegas, that encompasses separate pizza and bread ovens and a pasta stand where chefs roll homemade pasta.

GIADA is dramatically located on the second floor of The Cromwell with long escalators leading to and from it and can seat 260 guests. PS the food was truly delectable.
