CHEF BRADLEY MANCHESTER INTRODUCES GLUTTON RESTAURANT!

Chef Bradley Manchester just opened Glutton featuring an eclectic menu of New American cuisine for lunch beginning April 20 from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. and dinner daily at 5 p.m. The restaurant with a wood-burning oven is located on Carson Avenue, across 7th Street from Downtown Container Park.

Glutton is housed in a renovated midcentury building and maintains the original oak ceiling from 1955. Stained concrete floors, exposed brick and a solid stone chef's counter combine to create an industrial yet comfortable atmosphere. The restaurant seats approximately 78 patrons indoors and 25 more on an outdoor patio where Manchester will cultivate fresh herbs.

Manchester oversaw the culinary program for five restaurants at Red Rock Resort, served on the opening team of The Cosmopolitan, and worked at the Wit Hotel in Chicago, Caesars Palace, the Renaissance Hotel in Las Vegas, and Monarch Urban Bistro & Lounge, which was named one of Houston's best restaurants by “The New York Times.”



7TH ANNUAL WINE FEST RETURNS TO GOLDEN NUGGET

The 7th annual Wine Fest at the Golden Nugget hosted in partnership with BACK BAR USA will be held from Friday-Sunday, May 15-17. Wine Fest will feature the finest selections from California, Oregon and Washington with dinners and receptions hosted by notable winemakers including Brenna Ponzi of Ponzi Vineyards, among others. The event will begin with a poolside wine and jazz reception from 8 to 10 p.m. on Friday, May 15, at the H20 Poolside Bar. Price is $45.

The Pacific Northwest Grand Tasting will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, May 16 inside The Grand Event Center. Tickets start at $125.

The Golden Nugget will host a champagne and jazz brunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, May 17 inside The Grand Event Center. Brunch is $75.

Wine Fest will conclude with the “Wine Down with the Winemakers” reception from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday at The Hideout Pool for $30.

SILVERTON WILL OPEN WUHU NOODLE IN JUNE

The Silverton will add a new Asian-inspired restaurant, WuHu Noodle, opening in June. The 1,400-square-foot eatery will seat 44 guests with “patio” seating extending onto the casino floor. The décor will reflect a modern take on traditional Asian elements featuring pops of color mirroring the shades of orange taken from the details of the interior architecture. Two HD screens with scrolling menu items and tantalizing photos will line the entrance welcoming diners to explore the menu before being seated at communal tables with modern wood and metal accent chairs.

WORLD'S LARGEST HOOTERS PLANS POOLSIDE LOCATION AT PALMS

Hooters is planning a new location opening this spring at the Palms. The more than 15,200-square-foot space will be alongside the Palms Pool seating more than 500 guests and claiming “the world's largest Hooters.” The large poolside bar is slated to open in early May, and the two-story main dining room inside shortly thereafter.

Hooters at Palms will feature along with the famous Hooters ladies the latest contemporary comfort design elements from comfortable booths and high back chairs to sleek finishes and top-of-the-line AV packages with nearly 50 TVs.

The Golden Nugget is presenting a diverse lineup of acts every Friday in the 600-seat Gordie Brown Showroom at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $29.

Confirmed acts through June include: 4-17 The Sing Off; 4-24 The Oak Ridge Boys; 5-29 Night Ranger; 5-1 Earl Thomas Conley; 5-8 Aries Spears; 5-15 Christopher Cross; 5-22 Blood Sweat and Tears; 6-5 Nitty Gritty Dirt Band; 6-12 John Michael Montgomery; 6-19 Arnez J; and 6-26 Mel Tillis.

VISTA COCKTAIL LOUNGE TO DEBUT AT CAESARS PALACE IN MAY

VISTA Cocktail Lounge, an upscale, interactive cocktail experience operated by Hakkasan Group will premiere at Caesars Palace next month where the former Shadow Bar was located. The experiential cocktail bar and lounge will create a cozy, yet still modern atmosphere combining immersive and hi-tech offerings alongside custom-crafted cocktails. It will be open daily from 5 p.m. until late.

NICKI MINAJ AND JEREMIH PERFORM AT CHATEAU NIGHTCLUB AT PARIS

Fantastic Entertainment and Jam House Live will host a mega-fight after-party at Chateau Nightclub & Rooftop at Paris with simultaneous performances by major artists including Nicki Minaj, Jeremih, Sevyn Streeter and DJ music producer Funkmaster Flex on Saturday, May 2. Tickets start at $80.

Pay-Per-View will live stream footage of the party while superstar Nicki Minaj performs on the club's scenic rooftop starting at 10 p.m. with Funkmaster Flex accompanying. Inside the Main Room of the club, Jeremih and Sevyn Streeter will team up in the DJ booth to perform and after mingling will take the stage again at 2 a.m.

PUNK ROCK BOWLING FESTIVAL ADDS ME FIRST AND THE GIMME GIMME'S

Punk Rock Bowling, the three-day music festival taking over downtown May 22-25, has added another club show on Friday, May 22 at Bunkhouse with Me First and The Gimme Gimme's, plus special guests Manic Hispanic and the debut of The All Brights featuring members of the Loved Ones and Good Riddance. Doors open at 9 p.m.

There will be 17 late-night club shows and more than 60 bands will take the stage throughout the weekend. The three main stage headliners will be Rancid, Dropkick Murphys and Refused. The outdoor music festival at 7th Street and Stewart Avenue is an all-ages, all-day event with food, drink, music and clothing vendors. There will also be a two-day bowling tournament, hotel pool parties, a Punk Rock Poker Tournament and comedy.

LAUGH FACTORY FEATURES ‘FUNNIEST PERSON IN THE WORLD’

Ismo Leikola of Finland, the “Funniest Person in the World,” will appear at the Laugh Factory inside the New Tropicana this week April 13-19 with Jackson Perdue and John Clark hosting two nightly shows at 8:30 and 10:30 p.m. Tickets are $34.95 and $44.95.

Leikola won the World Competition determined by fans voting while watching a group of comedians from around the world competing on streaming Internet in 2014. He won $10,000 and a national comedy tour. The competition was the brainchild of Laugh Factory owner Jamie Masada, who plans to make it an annual event.

Leikola is the most internationally successful stand up-comedian to come out of Finland. In 2003, Leikola won Finland's, “Best Newcomer in Stand Up” award. He is also a six-time winner of the “Audience Favorite Comedian Award” at the largest annual stand-up festival in Finland. Leikola's career includes four one-man show concert hall tours and appearances on numerous TV shows, two DVD releases, and three comedy song singles.

CHARLOTTE OLYMPIA OPENS FIRST LAS VEGAS BOUTIQUE

British luxury shoes and accessories brand, Charlotte Olympia opened its first Las Vegas store inside The Forum Shops at Caesars. The new store inspired by a by-gone era of old Hollywood glamour invites passersbys to step into the world of Charlotte's Web. Luxurious blush furnishings, signature leopard print midcentury-style seating, brass paneling and a dazzling mirrored wall entice are enticing. The store also unveils a herringbone wooden floor with matching furniture in the new dedicated room showcasing the recently launched collection of leather handbags and small leather goods, and an exclusively designed Las Vegas capsule collection, which includes a Showgirl t-bar sandal.

STRATOSPHERE ANNOUNCES 8 POOL SUMMER CONCERT SERIES

The Stratosphere's 8 Pool will hold a summer Saturday night live poolside concert series starting Saturday, April 18 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Zowie Bowie, featuring Chris Phillips, will perform his high energy show eight stories above the Strip with violinist Lydia Ansel, singers Nieve Malandra and Christina Amaoto and a live band. They will perform again May 23, June 20, July 4, Aug. 8 and Sept. 7. Concerts are free with $10 pool admission or $5 for guests who join the resort's rewards program. Pool access is free for Stratosphere Hotel guests.

ARIANA GRANDE BRINGS ‘THE HONEYMOON TOUR’ TO MANDALAY BAY

Ariana Grande's “The Honeymoon Tour” is extending its North America run through the summer and will make a stop at Mandalay Bay Saturday, Aug. 29 with special guest Latin superstar Prince Royce. Grande recently received two Grammy Award-nominations for Best Pop Vocal Album for “My Everything” and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Bang Bang” with Jessie J and Nicki Minaj. Last year, Grande became the first woman and first artist since Michael Jackson to simultaneously have three songs in the Top Six of the Digital Songs Chart. Tickets are $44.50, $64.30 and $79.50.

HYPNOTIST JUSTIN TRANZ IS PERFORMING AT TOMMY WIND THEATER

Justin Tranz, who has been “hypnotizing” people for more than 40 years, is now performing his G-rated show in the 500-seat Tommy Wind Theater on the Strip. Tranz headlined in Las Vegas before on the Strip for more than a decade, starred in Playboy's TV show “The Extreme Truth” and had a two-year run on Broadway. He recently became the global spokesperson for IKEA. Tickets for his 8:30 p.m. shows are $40 each but 2-for-1.

For its second anniversary celebration, Hakkasan Restaurant and Nightclub, the five-level culinary and nightlife mecca at MGM Grand, will feature a special menu and entertainment lineup beginning Thursday-Sunday, April 16-19 including performances by Tiesto, Hardwell, Steve Aoki and Kyroman.

The Boulder City Fine Arts Festival is a two-day outdoor arts show sponsored by the nonprofit Boulder City Art Guild taking place in Bicentennial Park April 18 and 19 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Admission is free and there will be approximately 100-plus exhibitors from seven Western states.

Fremont Street Experience will be hosting a SlotZilla Charity Challenge with the Muscular Dystrophy Association in anticipation of the 2015 Firefighters of Southern Nevada Boot Drive on May 8, 14 and 15. Fremont Street Experience will be donating 100 percent of SlotZilla revenue to the MDA on Thursday, April 16 from noon to 6 p.m.

April 16 is 18b Day marking the city of Las Vegas' official designation of the arts district in 2005. The event is celebrated in true artist fashion with live painting by Guerilla Kage artists from noon until 10 p.m., and local performance ensemble Molodi performing right before speeches at Boulder Plaza at 5:30 p.m. Event is free for the public and food trucks will be present.

Starting last Friday for a limited time, Jerry's Nugget in North Las Vegas is offering two surf and turf options at Jerry's Famous Coffee Shop on Fridays and Saturdays with all the trimmings. The $13.89 Steak and Shrimp and the $19.89 Steak and Lobster specials are served from 11 a.m. to midnight.

Zappos Couture launches Sarah Jessica Parker's footwear collection, SJP, with a special opening of the SJP pop-up boutique on Friday-Saturday, April 17-18 at The Shops at Crystals. Parker, who will make personal appearance both days (Friday 11-2; Saturday noon-3), designed an exclusive collection named “The Strip Collection” to be sold at the Las Vegas pop-up shop and online at ZapposCouture.com.

The 3rd Annual Dance Against Obesity Camp J.U.M.P. will be held by TAO Group Cares on Saturday, April 25 in the TAO Nightclub at The Venetian at 1 p.m. The free afternoon will include a dance clinic for children ages 6–17 and nutrition seminar for parents. The ninth annual, four-day culinary extravaganza Vegas Uncork'd by Bon Appétit is this month with the Grand Tasting event on Friday, April 24 in the Garden of the Gods pool oasis at Caesars Palace.

The Armenian community will join together at Sunset Park on Friday, April 24 at 3 p.m. for a ceremony focusing attention on the 100-year anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. Afterwards from 5 p.m.-midnight, eight billboard trucks will circle the Strip traveling from Mandalay Bay highlighting the “Recognize the Crime of the Century” - The Armenian Genocide event.

Mötley Crüe vocalist and musician Vince Neil with girlfriend Rain Andreani returned to at Celebrity Cars Las Vegas after its March grand opening and purchased a 1965 Superformance Shelby Cobra and showed interest in other vehicles. Celebrity Cars fills a niche in the automotive market as a dealership offering hard-to-find exotic, luxury and classic automobiles.

PLAN AHEAD FOR MAY HAPPENINGS

Aliante will show support during Military Appreciation Month and Teacher Appreciation Month in May with food, beverage and hotel specials. The Salted Lime will honor Las Vegas teachers beginning April 24 with a special happy hour on the last Friday of every month from 4 to 7 p.m. The $10 all-you-can-drink deal will include well cocktails, house margaritas, 16-ounce drafts and unlimited chips and salsa with a valid school ID. Military in May will be offered a 20 percent discount at Bistro 57 with a valid ID. The restaurant and wine bar was named after the 57th Wing at Nellis Air Force Base.

Celebrating “Jersey Boys” seventh anniversary in Las Vegas, the local company will donate the equivalent of 7,000 meals to Three Square Food Bank as part of the show's “Four Seasons of Kindness” spring initiative. The donation will kick off a month-long food drive in partnership with 96.3 KKLZ-FM and the “Review-Journal” beginning May 1. Throughout May, Three Square Food Bank donation barrels will be onsite at Glazier's Food Marketplace at 8525 W. Warm Springs Road. Participants will receive a chance to win a pair of show tickets.

Mandalay Bay and Ninkasi Brewing Company will host the Ninkasi Space Oddity Ball: Ground Control Imperial Stout Release Party, Friday, May 1 at 8 p.m. at the eyecandy sound lounge. In honor of International Space Day, Director Of Food & Beverage and Nevada's first female Cicerone Sarah Johnson along with Ninkasi Brewing CEO Nikos Ridge will guide guests through the beer tasting. Paramount's Original LaserSpectacular Featuring the Music of Pink Floyd returns to the Henderson Pavilion at 8 p.m. Saturday, May 2. LaserSpectacular is a tribute to the legendary rockers and features over two hours of Pink Floyd's greatest hits with lasers, light show and videos carrying listeners away on a mind-expanding journey. After more than 25 years of touring, Paramount continues to reinvent the cult classic. Tickets start at $12

All Sammy's Woodfired Pizza & Grill locations throughout the Las Vegas Valley, along with Sammy's Restaurant & Bar in Henderson, Nev., will celebrate Mother's Day by offering a complimentary dessert for mothers exclusively on Sunday, May 10. Las Vegas-based architect Jon Jannotta will debut his fine art creations during a one-night only public reception from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday May 21 at the Art encounter gallery. Nonprofit Henry's Place Foundation will host the 9th Annual Henry Prendes Charity Golf Classic at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, May 22 at Spanish Trail Country Club. Proceeds will be applied towards the continued build out on the 14-acre camp and retreat facility in Cedar City, Utah, currently being developed for the Las Vegas Valley's at-risk youth.

The Take Steps for Crohn's & Colitis community walk will be held Saturday, May 30 from 9 a.m. to noon at Exploration Park in the Mountain's Edge Master Planned Community. The walk and companion activities include live music, food, kids' entertainment, vendor booths, educational materials and more. The event is open to the public and free to attend with a $25 per person donation encouraged.
