Celine Dion will return to The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Thursday, Aug. 27 to resume her Las Vegas show, “Celine,” with a brand-new look. Her residency presented jointly by AEG Live and Caesars Entertainment has been on hiatus since August 2014 when she put her show business activities on hold to focus on her husband, their family, and associated health issues. Her return comes on the 12-year anniversary of her first of 40 performances when she opened the venue on March 25, 2003. Since then, she has performed 927 shows in The Colosseum.

SUZANNE SOMERS RETURNS TO VEGAS WITH WESTGATE CABARET SHOW

Suzanne Somers is stepping back onstage to launch a sophisticated nightclub act at the Westgate. Her show “Suzanne Sizzles” will debut May 23 and entertain for 28 weeks through May 2016 in the newly named cabaret venue, “Suzanne's” at the Westgate. Accompanied by her band, the setting for her 70-minute show will be elegant and intimate with cocktail seating. She'll perform nightly except Sunday and Monday at 7 p.m. . Tickets are $65; VIP and meet-and-greet tickets are also available.

In addition, the Westgate will open the Suzanne Somers Spa, featuring all of Somers' Suzanne Organics Cosmetics, organic skin care, and organic hair care products, and the Suzanne Somers Organic Spa Café, serving food based on recipes from Somers' series of bestselling cookbooks.

A pioneering health and wellness advocate, Somers, a #1 “New York Times” bestselling author, has written a new book, “TOX-SICK: From Toxic to Not Sick,” that will be published by Harmony Books in April 2015. Somers is currently on ABC-TV's “Dancing with the Stars” 10th anniversary season.

FRANK MARINO UNVEILS ‘DIVAS’ BLACKJACK TABLES AT THE LINQ

The “Queen of the Strip” headliner Frank Marino and his cast of female impersonators in “Divas Las Vegas” at The LINQ will continue to perform their show seven days a week at 9:30 p.m. In addition, The LINQ recently opened a “Divas Las Vegas”-themed gaming pit, featuring six custom blackjack tables. With a show surviving five presidents, three wars and the turn of a century, Marino will also celebrate his 30th year headlining on the Strip in September. Tickets range from $54.99 to $84.99.

TAPAS BY ALEX STRATTA WILL OPEN IN TIVOLI VILLAGE

Two Michelin-starred celebrity chef Alex Stratta will open his new restaurant Tapas by Alex Stratta in Tivoli Village on Wednesday, April 8 serving nightly from 5-10 p.m. Food will be a variety of cultivated and contemporary small plates driven by the flavors of the Mediterranean with prominent Spanish accents.

The 5,401-square-foot restaurant is washed in a rustic yellow color palette with red and white accents along with wrought iron lighting fixtures, eclectic mirrors in various sizes and original artwork inspired by chefs adorning the walls. Dark wood, light sandstone and red furniture create a sophisticated bar area. The 2,000-square-foot patio emphasizes the Spanish experience and offers outdoor seating and a bar for al fresco dining year round. A private upstairs dining room and balcony are good for private social events.

Starting April 17, the restaurant will offer happy hour 4-6 p.m. and reverse happy hour 9-11 p.m. Monday through Friday.

FERRARO FAMILY OPENS ITS FIRST PIZZA FORTE AT SUNSET STATION

On Wednesday, April 1, Las Vegas' newest pizza concept, Pizza Forte, will open at Sunset Station and seat up to 30 guests. The casual quick serve restaurant located in the Food Court is a dream of the Ferraro family that owns and operates Ferraro's Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar located across from the Hard Rock Hotel. Pizza Forte will open daily at 11 a.m. and serve lunch and dinner. Details regarding Pizza Forte's second location will be announced later this spring.

Pizza Forte will offer New York-style pizza and square Roman-style pan pizza by the slice with toppings including homemade sausage and fresh vegetables, as well as gluten-free options. The location will also offer to-go items and hotel room delivery.

The restaurant's decor will be old world meets new world with an industrial twist. Cutout archways lined with white-washed brick will punctuate the walls, while accent walls will resemble reclaimed wood.

RACHEL'S KITCHEN OPENS AT CLEVELAND CLINIC LOU RUVO CENTER

Rachel's Kitchen is expanding once again with a second downtown location at the Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health. This outlet has a limited menu featuring salads, sandwiches, breakfast, and drinks prepared fresh and ready to go. There are also tables and chairs on the patio for enjoying a meal. Hours are 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

HARD ROCK CAFE ATTEMPTS RECORD FOR ‘LARGEST DRAG STAGE SHOW’

Hard Rock Cafe on Paradise will host an official attempt to break the world record for “Largest Drag Stage Show” on Sunday, April 12 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Not restricted to professionals, everyone is invited to participate in the record-breaking occasion by donning the fashion of the opposite sex as drag queen or king. Participants arriving in full drag will receive a complimentary mimosa. For individuals needing a little extra help with their drag look, the Glam Squad 702 will ensure everyone is stage-ready.

Las Vegas Headliner Josh Strickland will act as master of ceremonies. Drink specials will include $20 bottomless mimosas throughout the day. Participants also have the opportunity to win a variety of auction items, including a special package to attend the upcoming comedy performance of “RuPaul's Drag Race” Season 6 winner, Bianca Del Rio. Monies raised will directly benefit The Center - serving the LGBTQ community of Nevada.

BELLAGIO CELEBRATES SCULPTOR IZUMI'S WORKS AND SPRING DISPLAY

The Bellagio's Conservatory has opened its spring-themed display that is reminiscent of the iconic gardens of Japan through May 11 and unveiled renowned Japanese sculptor Masatoshi Izumi's newest art installation comprised of four distinct stone sculptures. Each sculpture weighs between 17,000 and 27,000 pounds and was meticulously hand carved from basalt over the course of 18 months.

Mr. and Ms. Green Thumb appear daily in the Conservatory from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. providing tips and answering your questions about the gardens. Also, there are live musical performances daily from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m., in the South Garden. This exhibit is free to the public and open 24 hours every day of the year.

SAILOR JERRY PARTAKES IN VIVA LAS VEGAS ROCKABILLY WEEKEND

Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum joins the rockabilly party Viva Las Vegas weekend at The Orleans, April 2-5 with fan friendly activities. There's a weekend full of celebratory happenings highlighted by a special Tow & Go car build demonstration with Mackey's Hot Rods. The team of seasoned car builders will take a rundown vehicle and turn it into a pristine automobile. The rust-to-riches demonstration will take place Saturday, April 4 from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Additionally Sailor Jerry will host Viva Las Bowling #4, a Sailor Jerry Tattoo Lounge, and a custom car show featuring the Sailor Jerry Airstream and Sailor Jerry Rat Rod and Roadster.

The Born To Be Wild 2015 Tour is making a stop at the Silverton for a rockin' concert featuring original members of Steppenwolf and Pegasus making up an all-star lineup on Friday, April 12 at 8 p.m. With more than 30 million records sold and 28 albums to their credit, their hits have been featured in 50 motion pictures and 70 TV programs. PLANET HOLLYWOOD HOSTS POKER FOR HOPE TOURNAMENT

Registration for the second Poker for Hope tournament to support Tia's Hope foundation taking place at Planet Hollywood on Saturday, April 11 at 12:30 p.m. is now open online. The first 175 participants to register by April 10 will receive one complimentary ticket voucher to attend the 10 p.m. performance of “Absinthe” at Caesars Palace that evening. MICHAEL GRIMM SINGS AT SANTA FE'S BLUES AND BAYOU BRUNCH

“America's Got Talent” season-five champion Michael Grimm will perform for a Blues and Bayou Brunch inside the Chrome Showroom at Sana Fe Station on Sunday, April 26. Tickets are $35 and $10 without the brunch. Doors open at 11 a.m. for brunch ticket holders and 11:45 a.m. for non-brunch attendees.

Mississippi-bred Grimm began performing at age 12 and moved to Las Vegas at 21 to perform as lead guitarist in the “Legends in Concert” show. Following his win on “America's Got Talent,” Grimm worked with Grammy-award winning producer Don Was on his eponymous debut album, which was released in 2011 to critical acclaim. Grimm released his album “Gumbo” in 2012 and followed with “Moment in Time,” which featured the single “Livin' on Faith.” His latest single “Starting Over” and the two-disc DVD/Album combo were released in 2014.

Corner Bar Management Group, the team behind Commonwealth, Park on Fremont, BLVD. Cocktail Company, Whist Stove and Spirits and Due & Proper, will launch “Aleluminati,” the ultimate secret society for craft beer aficionados. “Aleluminati” kicks off at Due & Proper from 6 to 8 p.m. and Park on Fremont from 8 to 10 p.m. on Thursday, April 9.

The Huntridge Foundation and West Huntridge Neighborhood Association will present the free monthly 2015 Cinema in the Circle through Oct. 9. Classic family films will be shown on a movie theatre-size outdoor inflatable screen outdoors at Huntridge Circle Park on S. Maryland Parkway just South of Charleston Blvd. in the historic Huntridge Neighborhood. CITY OFFERS FREE PUBLIC ART AND ARTS MARKETING LECTURES

The adult public is invited to three different free art lectures at the Historic Fifth Street School in downtown Las Vegas in April. Seattle artist Norie Sato will discuss the field of public art and her many public projects Wednesday, April 1 at 6:30 p.m. Seattle artist Dan Corson will report on his public art projects, which straddle the disciplines of art, theatrical design, architecture and landscape architecture, Thursday, April 16 at 6:30 p.m. Matt Lehrman will present the Audiences Everywhere™ “Get Smarter, Grow Stronger & Gain Audiences” workshop April 16 from 9 a.m. to noon; call 702-229-3515.

The Fremont Street East's newest sign, the vintage-inspired Pabst Blue Ribbon (PBR) neon sign standing more than 30 feet tall and 20 feet wide, will be unveiled at Park on Fremont March 31. Inspired by Downtown's enduring neon landmarks, the sign will celebrate PBR's oldest and most iconic character, “Cool Blue.” A pre-ceremony happy hour will take place at Park on Fremont with an open bar from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.

In honor of Diana Ross' upcoming residency, “The Essential Diana Ross: Some Memories Never Fade,” the City of Las Vegas declared March 26, also Ross' birthday, as Diana Ross Day. Ross appears at The Venetian Theatre for a special nine-show engagement April 1-18.

The Easter Bunny has arrived along with fun for the entire family through April 4 at Downtown Summerlin. Children's activities include photos with the Easter Bunny, arts and crafts, demonstrations in the Kid's Kitchen and a teddy bear picnic. In celebration of Jazz Appreciation Month, The Mob Museum will showcase the Las Vegas Jazz Trio on its front steps for a special performance on Saturday, April 4 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

MarQue Munday, and her female vocal quartet, will perform in the Chrome Showroom at the Santa Fe Station on Sunday, April 12 at 4 p.m. Their show “Musical Memoirs” pays tribute to the music of the 60s. Cover charge is $15.

The NHRA will visit the Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the SummitRacing.com NHRA Nationals April 10-12, the fifth of 24 races in the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series for 2015. The race will feature competition in three pro categories: Top Fuel, Funny Car, and Pro Stock, and be televised on ESPN2. NHRA Fan Fest will be April 9 with numerous drivers taking part in an autograph session from 5-7 p.m. at the Brooklyn Bridge in the New York-New York.

On April 1, the outlandish cast of Spiegelworld's “Absinthe” at Caesars Palace will celebrate their fourth anniversary and more than 2,000 performances in Las Vegas hosting one million guests.

First Friday downtown on April 3 will appeal to science aficionados and technology fans with the theme “Wavelengths.” Starting at the Welcome Area at Charleston and Casino Center, First Friday-goers can start their “Wavelengths” experience by exploring an oversized kaleidoscope constructed by Dead Girls & Robots and electronic Theremin instrument for guests to explore.

This April, McCall's Heartland Grill at the Stratosphere will debut The Whiskey Bar starting with a well known radio personality hosting the open mix and mingle from 6-8 p.m. with whiskey drink and food specials being featured. In addition, the Stratosphere will make a $1,000 donation on behalf of each radio host to the nonprofit organization of their choice. House of Blues inside Mandalay Bay will feature a Kids Eat Free program April 1 through May 27. Each week, Monday-Wednesday from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. kids under the age of 12 eat free with the purchase of an adult entrée.

Italian restaurant Panevino on Sunset Road will debut its new quarterly wine dinner series on Thursday, April 23, with a four-course Panevino's Northern Italy Wine Dinner for $85.

Whist Stove and Spirits in The District at Green Valley Ranch will celebrate National Beer Day with specialty craft beer and food pairings from 5 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7. Each pairing will be $20, and will accompany the regular dinner menu; call 702-307-2694.

Also, Whist Stove and Spirits has introduced locally grown ingredients with the “Market Made” dinner series, from 5 to 9 p.m. every Thursday through May 28. The organic farm-to-table menu will feature weekly hand-picked ingredients from the farmer's market within The District.

Due & Proper at The District at Green Valley Ranch invites fans of the hit HBO television series, “Game of Thrones,” to celebrate the season five premiere on Sunday, April 12 at 9 p.m. The royal evening of fun will include a themed menu, drink specials, and prime television viewing.

La Cave Wine & Food Hideaway at Wynn has introduced new “Ladies' Last Meal” prix fixe menus designed especially for women celebrating bachelorette parties this season priced at $49 and $59, respectively.

CITY OF LAS VEGAS HOLDS TWO FREE MUSIC AND DANCE CONCERTS

The city of Las Vegas will hold free family music and dance concerts the first two Saturdays in April in the outdoor Sammy Davis Jr. Festival Plaza in Lorenzi Park.

Leading the way on Saturday, April 4 is “Shinka: Life Cycle of a Dancer,” featuring the Pink Tutu Ballet Company at 7 p.m. and special appearances by Ms. Nevada 2014 and student dancers.

“Rox in Sox Children's Music Festival” will be on Saturday, April 11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and feature local and touring kindie music artists Alphabet Rockers, Recess Monkey, and Aaron Nigel Smith. Event founder Aaron Nigel Smith is a musician and educator whose simple mission is to inspire families to sing, dance and play together. While admission is free, families are encouraged to donate new shoes, socks, and books for kids in need.
