Clint Holmes has launched an all-new musical experience on his four-year anniversary at Harrah's and one that is a "MUST SEE!" His award winning show is nightly except Sunday at 7:30 p.m., in the Clint Holmes Theatre, and tickets are $59.95 plus tax.

Holmes' original and energetic new show features an incredulous highly featured 11-piece band and new self-penned original tunes along with imaginative takes on pop music favorites. The latest embodiment of Holmes' show draws upon his knowledge and love of music and brings audiences to their feet willingly.

Holmes wrote the opening song "In This Moment" to set the tone for the entire show. A newly-arranged and vocally demanding opera medley vocally showcases Holmes, his musical director and friend since college Bill Fayne and gorgeous backup singer.

Also sharing the stage for the first time, jazz and R&B legend and keyboardist Ronnie Foster, adds something new to the equation - the instrument with which he built his international reputation, a b3 Organ. Foster, recognized as one of the top organists in the world, opens the show with an incomparable b3 solo.

Lead Guitarist Jerry Lopez adds a flourishing Flamenco guitar to the Salsa-themed "Canta Con Migo," and audience members also hear the distinct sound of Latin percussion in several songs, including a new fabulous free-form arrangement of songs from the Bernstein and Sondhiem favorite, "West Side Story." The show never misses a beat.

The big news is Thomas Keller's Bouchon eatery at The Venetian's new 1,000-room Venezia Tower. A few years ago Time magazine acclaimed Keller as "America's Best Chef," "Bouchon" is Lyonnaise for "brasserie," which describes the menu of food the restaurant offers: hors d'oeuvres, soups, salads and quiche.

Keller's small French Laundry restaurant in Napa Valley, Calif. was voted No. 1 among "The Worlds' 50 Best Restaurants" by London-based Restaurant Magazine. There is also a Bouchon in Napa that Keller's brother Joseph helped open.

Now Joseph is the owner / chef of the dramatic Como restaurant at MonteLago Village at Lake Las Vegas. He is also working on a new culinary complex project at the village that will include a culinary theater with cooking and wine classes, visiting celebrity chefs, lunch with wine and retail opportunities.

This year the Medici Café and Terrace at the Ritz-Carlton at Lake Las Vegas is a new AAA Four-Diamond winner. Other area restaurants with the Four Diamond honor are 3950 Restaurant and Aureole at Mandalay Bay, the Eiffel Tower Restaurant at Paris, and Michael's steakhouse at the Barbary Coast.

Three restaurants received the Five-Diamond award, Picasso and Le Cirque at Bellagio and Renoir at The Mirage.

The Cannery Casino & Hotel, located in North Las Vegas at the corner of Craig and Losee roads, presents a look back into musical history during the month of February with performances by Tribute Bands.

The Cannery marks the 40th Anniversary of the Beatles' first live American television appearance with a tribute show featuring "The Fab," a Beatles tribute band, on Feb. 6 and 7.

Special Valentine's weekend performances on Feb. 13 and 14 at The Club, will re-create the magic of "Frank, Sammy & Dean - Hear and Now" in concert. The show begins at 7 p.m. with a twelve-piece orchestra and an hour of ballroom dancing, then at 8 p.m. Steve Lippia, Doug Starks, and Rick Michel take the stage as Frank, Sammy, and Dean.

On Aug. 27, 1990, the music world lost one of its greatest blues guitar players, Stevie Ray Vaughn. In honor of this legend, the Cannery presents "Chris Hiatt and Cold Shot." Hiatt is an accomplished musician playing 13 instruments and well versed in all types of blues and blues-derived music. Performances are Feb. 20 and Feb. 21 from 8 p.m. to midnight.

The Cannery ends the month by flashing back to 1968 with one of the most influential bands of all time, The Doors. The Cannery presents "Peace Frog - Tribute to Jim Morrison and The Doors" on Feb. 27 and 28, at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m.

The stirring music of classic folk singer John Denver is remembered by the tribute band "Rocky Mountain High: A John Denver Tribute" performing in the Hideaway Showroom at the Silverton Hotel Casino on Feb. 6 and 7 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $9.99, call 1-866-946-4373 or 702-914-8557.

Jim Curry, who bears a remarkable resemblance to the late singer, heads the band. Curry landed the part of singing the voice of John Denver for the CBS made-for-TV movie, "Take Me Home, The John Denver Story." It was the break that would finally give Curry the recognition he desired as a serious singer.
