WESTGATE OPENS CITY'S NEWEST TOPLESS REVIEW, ‘SEXXY’!

Las Vegas' newest topless revue appropriately titled “Sexxy” is opening at Westgate in the 300-seat Shimmer Cabaret. The show with a cast of seven will feature the headliner, dancer and choreographer Jennifer Romas.

With more than 30 years of dancing experience, Romas got her start as a gymnast. The former Minnesota State Floor Champion received a dance scholarship to work with the world-renowned Gus Giordano Dance School in Chicago where she later toured and taught for the company. Romas has been featured on numerous national television shows and performed as a lead dancer in “Striptease The Show,” “Monster Circus,” “Splash” and “ICANDY Burlesque.” Romas worked for big screen films such as Sony's “Think Like a Man Too, ” and most recently for pop-superstar Britney Spears. She is currently the solo dancer in “Purple Reign: The Prince Tribute Show,” also performing at Westgate's Shimmer Cabaret.

“Sexxy” will take audience members through a journey of sensual, sexual, fun and enticing vignettes that incorporates the top 10 most popular erotic fantasies and encompasses all eras of music. Effective the week of Jan. 12, “Sexxy” will play nightly at 11 p.m. except Monday and Tuesday. Tickets start at $29.95 for general admission and $39.95 for VIP admission.

ROCKER MARK BOALS JOINS NEW TROP'S ‘RAIDING THE ROCK VAULT’

Rock singer Mark Boals has joined the permanent lineup of ldquo;Raiding the Rock Vault” at the New Tropicana. The powerhouse vocalist and bass player, best known for his work with Dokken, Ted Nugent, and Yngwie Malmsteen, takes the stage Friday-Wednesday at 9 p.m. Boals was a guest performer several times in the show.

“Raiding the Rock Vault” brings the history of rock ‘n' roll to life, featuring classic anthems by the biggest acts in music, including The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Free, Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Queen, Boston, Kansas, U2, Aerosmith, Van Halen, AC/DC, Pat Benatar, Foreigner, Heart, Journey, Bon Jovi, Whitesnake, Supertramp and many more.

‘THE HANGOVER EXPERIENCE’ IS OPEN AT MADAME TUSSAUDS

Madame Tussauds at The Venetian opened its newest themed room The Hangover Experience to the public on the real “Hangover Day” - Jan. 1, 2015. Taking over space where movies were once shown, The Hangover Experience includes the notorious hotel room from the popular Warner Bros. Pictures' comedy trilogy and a wedding chapel exterior. In the 1,100-square-foot room is a new wax figure of “Phil” played by Bradley Cooper and in front of the chapel is another new wax character “Alan” played by Zach Galifianakis complete with his iconic “Human Tree” T-shirt, white jeans, sneakers and famous satchel.

MICHAEL MINA'S BARDOT BRASSERIE SETS OPENING DATE AT ARIA

Chef Michael Mina's newest concept, BARDOT Brasserie, will open at ARIA on the second floor on Friday, Jan. 16. Hours will be 5 to 11 p.m. daily offering a modern and sexy take on the traditional French brasserie experience. Menu highlights will include Foie Gras Sausage, Duck Wings À L'Orange, Monkfish Bourride, Onion Soup Gratinée and more.

‘FOR THE LOVE OF COCKTAILS’ IS THREE-DAY EVENT IN FEBRUARY

“For The Love Of Cocktails,” presented by Back Bar USA in partnership with world-renowned mixologist and author Tony Abou-Ganim, United States Bartenders' Guild (USBG), Delano and Mandalay Bay Resorts, and Herbs & Rye, will be a three-day mixology event Feb 12-14.

The headlining event will be the “For The Love Of Cocktails” gala on Friday, Feb. 13 from 7-10 p.m. at Alain Ducasse's miX on the 64th floor of Delano. More than 30 mixology stations with bartenders from Las Vegas and around the world will feature original cocktail recipes crafted with fresh ingredients. Guests will enjoy contemporary live entertainment while tasting passed hors d'oeuvres, charcuterie and other gourmet bites prepared by miX Executive Chef Bruno Riou. Tickets are $100 on the For The Love Of Cocktails website. Proceeds will benefit the Helen David Relief Fund for Bartenders Affected by Breast Cancer, a charitable organization that assists women in the bar industry by providing pre-screening services for breast cancer.

Other events on Thursday, Feb. 12 will include: Meet The Masters Wine Dinner at Aureole in Mandalay Bay 6-9 p.m.; Cocktails and Conversation 9 p.m.-1 a.m. in Franklin at Delano; and The Life of a Bartender at Herbs & Rye from midnight to 4 a.m. In addition to the gala on Friday, Feb. 12, there are Cocktail Seminars & Interactive Classes from 11:30-5 p.m. On Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. will be a Bloody Mary Brunch at Della's Kitchen inside Delano.

URBAN TURBAN OPENS A BOMBAY KITCHEN AND TAPAS BAR

Urban Turban, a Bombay Kitchen and Tapas Bar, opened its first location in the United States at 3900 Paradise Road following the success of their New Zealand location. Owners Jasmine and Bhushan Arolkar drew inspiration from their hometown of Bombay (Mumbai), India. The culinary team is professional chefs who integrate classic Bombay flavors and spices with contemporary Indian fare favorites. Urban Turban is open daily from 11 a.m. until late.

The Urban Turban mascot, an authentic rickshaw named “Turbie,” was imported from India to the United States. Guests are welcome to snap a picture inside the rickshaw at any time and utilize the hashtag #TurbieLV.

‘THE VOICE’ WINNER CRAIG WAYNE BOYD VISITS ALIANTE

The recent seventh-season winner of NBC's hit reality show “The Voice,” Craig Wayne Boyd, will perform inside the Access Showroom at Aliante on Saturday, Jan. 31, as part of his first nationwide tour. Tickets start at $17.50.

Since winning, Boyd has rocketed to the top of Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart at No. 1 with his coronation single, “My Baby's Got a Smile on Her Face.” The Nashville, Tenn., native became just the second artist to launch at No. 1 on the Hot Country Songs chart since Billboard introduced the rankings in 1958, joining Garth Brooks.

SOUTH POINT HOLDS MECUM MIDAMERICA'S MOTORCYCLE AUCTION

Mecum Auctions will present MidAmerica's 24th annual Las Vegas Motorcycle Auction Jan. 8-10 at South Point. The three-day event draws participants from all 50 states and around the world. This year will see a record 750 antique and collector motorcycles cross the auction block spanning a full century of production from 1903 to 2003.

The auction will feature no less than 10 private collections from some of the hobby's well-known enthusiasts. Among them will be 40 motorcycles from The Shane Van Pelt Collection; a great selection from the personal collection of Don Andress, owner and operator of the Las Vegas Harley-Davidson dealership; a lineup of 44 excellent examples from the David Silver Spares Collection; and an additional 21 motorcycles from The Buddy Stubbs.

A live stream of the entire auction will be presented at Mecum.com with portions also broadcast on NBC Sports Network. The auction is open to buyers, sellers and spectators with general admission tickets available at the gate for $20 per day or $50 for a three-day pass. Bidder registration is $100 and includes admission for two to all auction days.

RED ROCK'S CONCERTS FEATURE LIVE TRIBUTES TO CLASSIC ALBUMS

The “In Its Entirety” Concert Series at Rocks Lounge inside Red Rock will feature live performances of music's most iconic records “in their entirety,” every second Friday of the month, beginning Feb. 13 at 7:30 p.m. Performances will showcase world-class musicians and singers, including players who have worked with and backed legendary artists including Celine Dion and David Foster.

The “In Its Entirety” Concert Series will take audiences back to a time when albums were a complete and cohesive piece of art by performing the famous records track-to-track and cover-to-cover the way they were originally meant to be appreciated.

The first show on Feb. 13 will highlight Pink Floyd's renowned “Dark Side of the Moon.” Using cutting-edge recording techniques and exploring eclectic themes, the album topped The Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1973 and stayed on charts for an astounding 741 weeks through 1988, selling more than 50 million copies.

On March 14, it will be The Eagles - “Their Greatest Hits” followed on April 10 by The Beatles - “Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band” and “Abbey Road” performed by The Fab. Tickets are $15.

MEDIA REPS COMPETE IN CHARITY PIZZA-MAKING COMPETITION AT TREVI

TREVI Italian Restaurant at The Forum Shops at Caesars will host a cooking competition featuring local media personalities on Wednesday, Jan. 7 at 1 p.m. John Huck and Olivia Fierro of FOX 5 KVVU, Jessica Janner of ABC 13 KTNV, Kim Wagner of NBC 3 KSNV and Doug Elfman of the Las Vegas Review-Journal will converge in TREVI's kitchen for the pizza cook-off. Each competitor will choose individual ingredients and physically create the dish with supervision from TREVI executive chef, Peter Scaturro. Each pizza will be scored by a panel of guest judges and the winner will be awarded $500 toward a charity of their choice, along with the honor of adding the named pizza to TREVI's official dinner menu for the remainder of the month. Diners and fans are encouraged to attend the competition.

ECCOCI HOSTS ELVIS-THEMED FASHION SHOW AND BOOK SIGNING

Eccoci Boca Park will hold an “Elvis and You”-themed Fashion Show and Elvis' memoirs book signing with Elvis' former road manager and three-book author Joe Esposito on Saturday, Jan. 10 from 1 to 5 p.m. The fashion show at 3 p.m. will be choreographed to Elvis' music and celebrate what would have been his 80th birthday. A pink Cadillac will be parked outside the store and a life-size image of Elvis will be on display for people to take their photo. An Elvis impersonator will also provide entertainment. This free afternoon event for the public with refreshments including Elvis cupcakes will be held at Eccoci located at 750 S. Rampart, Suite 8.

A frank discussion about sports betting, “Beating The Line: The Inside Story On Sports Betting In America,” will be held at The Mob Museum downtown on Wednesday, Jan. 21 at 7 p.m. Sports betting has been legal in Las Vegas since 1931 and it's the latest topic the museum is highlighting. Burt Bacharach, an award-winning composer/songwriter who helped define the music of the 20th and 21st centuries, will perform with his seven-piece band and three singers on Friday, Jan. 20 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $47.

Popular Big Elvis performs Elvis' hits as well as other popular tunes spanning six decades of music in the Piano Bar at Harrah's. His show is free and you can see him Monday-Tuesday and Thursday-Friday from 2-6 p.m.

International mentalist Frederic Da Silva is doing his renowned show at Bally's for a limited engagement Wednesday through Sunday at 4 p.m. Tickets are $55 to $66.

“TOTALLY AWESOME 80's” will be a journey through the 1980s highlighting the music and events of the time with a cast of singers, dancers and impersonators at the Colabo Studio Theater at 900 East Karen Ave. Suite D-114. Downtown Summerlin's Rock Rink has special events lined up. Several princess characters will be skating and available for photos with kids from 1-3 p.m. on Jan. 10 and 17. On Friday and Saturday evenings from 6-10 p.m., there is skating to music and lights with a DJ. Skate lessons are $25 and cost for regular skating is $15 with skate rental included.

South Point Arena will host thousands of BMX bicycle racers for the 2015 Silver Dollar Nationals Jan. 9-11. During the first round of the 2015 USA BMX National Series, guests will witness 1,500 amateur competitors from 35 states battle it out for the chance to continue competing for the championship title. This event is free and open to the public.

Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce's annual “Las Vegas Preview” will be held Friday, Jan. 30 at the Thomas & Mack Center - Cox Pavilion from 7 a.m.-1:30 p.m. This is a forecasting and relationship-building event with national speakers, local economic experts and industry leaders in a conference and trade show format.

USA SEVENS RUGBY AND TOWN SQUARE TEAM UP

For the sixth consecutive year, the USA Sevens Rugby tournament will take over Sam Boyd Stadium for three-days Feb. 13-15 of rugby and festival action when the top 16 international rugby teams battle it out in a series of 45 matches. For the first time in tournament history, the Las Vegas round will serve as an Olympic qualifier for the 2016 summer games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

For a limited time through Jan. 31, fans can purchase select tournament packages and receive a $20 Town Square Las Vegas gift card.

Local author, motivational speaker and featured artist Judi Moreo will have a showing of her “Challenges” Collection at the City Lights Art Gallery, 3 E. Army Street in Henderson. She'll present watercolors and acrylics featuring the wildlife of Africa to a delicate flower pedal during January with two Meet the Artist receptions open to the public on Friday evenings, Jan. 9 from 5-7 p.m. and Jan.16 from 6-8 p.m.

After being diagnosed with cancer and advised by her doctor to find an outlet for stress, Moreo chose to study art with Ed Klein at the City Lights Art Gallery in Henderson. She furthered her study with Jeff Tift, one of North America's leading wildlife artists. After only four years of training, her paintings appear in private collections in the United States, Canada and Africa and most of her paintings have been reproduced into greeting cards.
