The boundary-breaking hologram concert spectacle, “An Evening With Whitney: The Whitney Houston Hologram Concert,” featuring the entertainer and her superstar voice virtually performing among a live band, backup singers and dancers while being surrounded by cinematic special effects will make its North American debut with an extended residency at Harrah’s starting Oct. 26, 2021. Tickets for the 6 p.m. performances Tuesday through Sunday range from $49 to $89.

“An Evening With Whitney” takes audiences on a musical journey through Houston’s storied career using unmatched theatrical stagecraft paired with a live four-piece band, backup singers and dancers all set to digitally remastered arrangements of Whitney’s biggest hits and fan favorites, including “I Will Always Love You,” “I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me),” “The Greatest Love of All” and an on-your-feet cover of Steve Winwood’s “Higher Love.”

Harrah’s – Whitney Houston Hologram Concert

Houston is the only artist to chart seven consecutive No.1 Billboard Hot 100 hits, the first female artist to enter the Billboard 200 Album Charts at No. 1 and the only artist with eight consecutive multi-platinum albums. She was certified by The Guinness World Records as “The Most Awarded Female Artist of All Time” with more than 400 awards, including six Grammys, 22 American Music Awards, 16 Billboard Music Awards, two Emmy nominations and one win. Houston also had success on the big screen with starring roles in “The Bodyguard,” “Waiting To Exhale” and “The Preacher’s Wife.”

The innovative show coming to Harrah’s is produced and created by BASE Hologram in partnership with The Estate of Whitney E. Houston and in association with GFour Productions. It is presented through state-of-the-art, proprietary holographic technology.

PEYOTE TO BRING RETRO DESERT CHARM TO FERGUSONS DOWNTOWN

Ryan Doherty, founder of Corner Bar Management, the company behind some of Downtown Las Vegas’ top bars and restaurants, will bring retro desert charm and a touch of glamour to Fergusons Downtown Motel with the company’s latest boutique restaurant and bar, Peyote, opening in early September. Hours will be 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and noon to 2 a.m. Fridays through Sundays. Guests will be encouraged to bask in the sun on the open-air terrace for a fresh brunch from noon to 4 p.m. Friday-Sunday.

Fergusons Downtown – Peyote

Fergusons is a retro haven where modern desert architecture, captivating retail and live music collide as one eclectic community. A 3,400-square-foot, color-soaked oasis, Peyote will enhance the mix with distinctive brunch and dinner dishes, creative cocktails and funky, laid-back décor. A cactus and succulent garden will welcome guests upon arrival.

A collection of local culinary, cocktail and design architects join Doherty as partners in Peyote. Courtesy of Keegan Arthur Olton, the artist behind Corner Bar’s other light installations at Discopussy and Lucky Day, Peyote’s patio will be adorned with desert-hues and a custom 3D-mapped LED bistro-light canvas. Contrary to the average bistro light, more than 1,500 individually addressable lights include full color RGB pixels to work together, creating a glimmering mirage from above that responds to music controlled by custom lighting control software.

BOB ANDERSON BRINGS MUSIC AND IMPERSONATIONS TO SOUTH POINT

“People” magazine once called Bob Anderson the very best singing impressionist in the world. Out of all the current tribute artists on Broadway or on tour, VH1 named him No. 1. Anderson will be back in Las Vegas for three nights performing “Music to Remember” at the showroom at South Point Aug. 13-15 at 7:30 p.m.

South Point – Bob Anderson

Anderson’s story reads like a novel. Anderson was at the right place at the right time when Nancy Sinatra’s opening act at the Sahara got into a disagreement and quit on show day. He did a quick audition and within seven hours was her opening act. Later, Anderson was invited to a party at Merv Griffin’s home where he was discovered doing impressions of the great singers of that time. Griffin booked him on his television show and introduced him as “The Singing Impressionist.”

Soon thereafter, Anderson became a regular on every talk and variety show making more than 200 national and international television appearances. He appeared on the “Tonight Show” starring Johnny Carson twice in one week. With all the television exposure, Anderson was given his own room at The Top of the Dunes Hotel where his show ran for 10 years. Right from opening night, Anderson was the talk of Las Vegas.
