A towering, 10-foot-tall, fossil cave bear skeleton is now on display at the Las Vegas Natural History Museum, thanks to a generous donation from Ashraf (Alex) Khalaf, owner of Kalifano, a Las Vegas-based merchant of one-of-a-kind fossils and works of art, and more.
The cave bear fossil skeleton came from the Carpathian Mountains of Romania. Prehistoric Cave Bears lived in Europe and Asia during the Pleistocene Ice Age. The exhibit is included with admission to the museum, which is open daily 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are available online or at the door.
