A Laughlin first, the Edgewater's Race and Sports Book is in the process of installing 98 individual television monitors, adding to its amenities for players. The new nine-inch screens are housed on new tables with hooded lights for better privacy. The monitors are reserved for race players only and are active from the first to the last race of the day.

Upon completion, the Edgewater book will have 133 television monitors in the room ranging in sizes from nine inches to 80 inches. The redesign of the race and sports book includes more aisle space.

Along with the monitors, headphones are now available for purchase for those players wishing to listen to the races as well. Players can choose among two styles, for $5 or less.

Al Martino, armed with over 30 hit singles to his credit including his signature song "Spanish Eyes," will headline at the Pavilion Theater in the Ramada Express on March 25 and 26. Martino is also remembered for his role of Johnny Fontaine, the singing godson of Don Corleone (Marlon Brando), in the Academy Award winning movie, "The Godfather." The movie's title song, "The Love Theme From The Godfather," was sung by Martino.

A couple more Martino memorable tunes are "I Love You More And More Everyday" and "Can't Help Falling In Love." Tickets to see Martino are $17.50, call 1-800-243-6846.
